The red arrow is pointing to the front of the flow as is pours into a second channel. Estimating from the distance this image was taken (approximately 820 feet/250 meters) and knowing the horizontal angle of the view of the lens used (17o), the width of the channel the arrow is pointing to was calculated to be over 10 feet (>3 meters) wide. The mud and rock flow at this point is probably about five feet (1.5 meters) thick!
